HEALTHY SWEET RECIPE : APPLE PIE FILLING (FREEZES BEAUTIFULLY )




2.1/2 CUPS PEELED,CHOPPED APPLES

1/2 TBSP. LEMON JUICE.

1/4 CUP BROWN SUGAR

1/4 CUP SUGAR

2 TBSP. CORN STARCH

1/2 TSP CINNAMON POWDER

PINCH NUTMEG

PINCH SALT

1 CUP WATER

MIX WELL APPLE AND LEMON JUICE.
ADD SUGAR, CORNSTARCH, CINNAMON POWDER, NUTMEG AND SALT IN A SAUCE PAN.
STIR IN WATER.
BRING MIXTURE TO A BOIL.
STIRRING CONSTANTLY FOR 2 MINUTES AND BOIL.
ADD THE APPLES SLICES OR CHOPPED APPLES.
BRING TO A BOIL AGAIN.
REDUCE THE HEAT TO MEDIUM, LOW AND SIMMER FOR 10 - 12 MINUTES.
COOL COMPLETELY.
IT WILL SET UP AS IT COOKS.
MAKES 4 CUPS OF APPLE PIE FILLINGS.
USE AS NECESSARY.
KEEP REFRIGERATED IN A AIRTIGHT CONTAINER FOR 4 - 5 DAYS.
