HEALTHY SWEET RECIPE : TANGY-SOFT CAKE



QUICK VINEGAR CAKE

150 GRAMS MAIDA

85 GRAMS SUGAR

100 GRAMS BUTTER

1/2 CUP MILK

1 1/2 TBSP WHITE VINEGAR

1/2 TSP BAKING POWDER

1/2 TSP SODA BI CARB

TAKE A 7"ROUND CAKE TIN.
DUSTING IT.
PREHEAT OVEN TO 190* C.
SIFT THE FLOUR. ADD BUTTER. RUB FLOUR AND BUTTER TOGETHER WITH THE FINGER TIPS, TILL THE MIXTURE IS CRUMBLY.
ADD BAKING POWDER AND SUGAR.
MIX LIGHTLY.
DIVIDE MILK INTO TWO PARTS. TO ONE PART ADD VINEGAR.
SLIGHTLY WARM THE OTHER PART OF MILK.
ADD SODA BI CARB. NOW MIX BOTH THE MILKS TOGETHER.
THE MILK WILL START  FOAMING, ADD THIS PART  TO THE CAKE DOUGH VERY QUICKLY.
MIX FAST AND WELL.
POUR INTO THE DUSTED TIN.
BACK IN PREHEATED OVEN AT 190* C.FOR 20 MINUTES.
THEN LOWER THE TEMPERATURE TO 150* C.FOR ANOTHER 20 MINUTES.
WHEN THE CAKE IS DONE, LET IT COOL FOR 10 MINUTES BEFORE REMOVING FROM TIN.
