HEALTHY SPICY RECIPE : KOLHAPURI GRAVY



 2 TBSP OIL

1 CUP ONIONS- FINELY CHOPPED

1/2 CUP TOMATOES FINELY CHOPPED

SALT TO TEST

USE IN PASTE :

1/4 CUP GRATED DRY COCONUT

4 TO 5 WHOLE DRY KASMIRI RED CHILLIES - PIECES

5 CLOVES GARLIC

1 SMALL PIECE GINGER

1 TBSP. POPPY SEEDS - KHUS - KHUS

1 TBSP. SESAME SEEDS

*COMBINE ALL THE INGREDIENTS AND BLEND IN A MIXER TO A SMOOTH PASTE,ADDING LITTLE WATER.

HEAT THE OIL IN A DEEP PAN.
ADD THE ONIONS AND SAUTE TILL THE ONIONS TURNS TRANSLUCENT.
ADD THE PASTE AND MIX WELL.
SAUTE FOR 5 MINUTES ON A MEDIUM FLAME.
THEN ADD TOMATOES  AND SALT . MIX WELL AND COOK ON A MEDIUM FLAME FOR ANOTHER 4 MINUTES - TILL THE OIL SEPARATES, WHILE STIRRING CONTINUOUSLY.
USE AS REQUIRED.
